*Monday, November 2 to Sunday, November 8, 2026*

The City of Missoula's Road Report lists two closures running into this week: a southbound lane closure on Flynn Lane north of Mullan Road, posted through Wednesday morning, and the Schramm Street closure in the Westview Park area, which is scheduled to end Saturday. On the state highways, Montana 511 lists no construction-related restrictions in Missoula County as of Monday morning, the I-90 paint striping between Petty Creek and Huson wrapped up last Friday, and the five-ton weight limit on the Nine Mile Slide Bridge remains in place.

Locations are approximate. The city's listings don't give exact start and end points.

## Downtown & Northside

- Rodgers Street, between Shakespeare and Scott streets (listing still shows Active): The city's Road Report still carries the October closure here for a sewer service tie-in on the Park on North Scott project, with dates of 5 a.m. Monday, October 19 to 6 p.m. Friday, October 23\. Those dates have passed and the city has not posted new ones, so the street should be open, but check the map before you count on it. The listing names Brandt Dahlen, 406-552-6087, as the contact. - Scott, Otis, Rodgers and Shakespeare streets: Construction on the Park on North Scott and street improvements project continues, with sidewalks, intersection work and paving planned through the project area into 2027\. The Road Report shows no closures dated this week in the project area. Expect crews and check the map before you go. ## Mullan & West Missoula

- Flynn Lane, north of Mullan Road (lane closure, ends this week): The city's Road Report lists a southbound lane closure here from 8 a.m. Thursday, October 29 to 8 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, with Gold Peak Excavation as the contact. The listing does not name the street or say what the work is, and no detour is posted; the location is a stretch of Flynn Lane just north of the Mullan Road roundabout, as shown on the city's map. Northbound traffic is not listed as affected. [City Road Report map](https://missoulamaps-cityofmissoula.hub.arcgis.com/apps/2cfa3a4a8c834be985e1a1cfa45e1c93/explore?ref=missoula-commons.com)
- Schramm Street, Westview Park area (closed, ends this week): The city's Road Report still lists an active road closure here, with Knife River as the contact and Saturday, November 7 as the end date. A start date and detour are not posted. This listing has been on the map since early October. ## Next week

As of Monday morning, the Road Report shows no planned closures starting the week of November 9\. Both of this week's listings, Flynn Lane and Schramm Street, are scheduled to end before then. Downtown, the city said in late October that exploratory subsurface work for the Downtown Safety and Mobility project could show up on Higgins Avenue, Front Street and Main Street in the coming weeks, but it has not posted dates or traffic effects, and the Road Report lists nothing downtown.

## State highways

- I-90, mile markers 77.5 to 84, between the Petty Creek and Huson exits (ended): The alternating lane closures for paint striping that Montana 511 listed last week ended Friday, October 30, and are no longer on the 511 map. [Montana 511](https://www.511mt.net/?ref=missoula-commons.com)
- Highway 10 West, Nine Mile Slide Bridge: A five-ton weight limit remains in place until further notice, with a 45 mph speed limit. Loads over five tons must use another route. [Montana 511](https://www.511mt.net/?ref=missoula-commons.com)
- Wildlife warnings: 511 lists animals on the road on MT-200 between mile markers 4 and 5 east of Bonner, and on US-12 near mile marker 9.6 west of Lolo. Both warnings have been up since summer. [Montana 511](https://www.511mt.net/?ref=missoula-commons.com)

Montana 511 lists no construction-related restrictions on I-90, US-93, US-12, MT-200 or MT-83 in Missoula County as of Monday morning. The nearest work is just over the line in Mineral County: the Montana Department of Transportation says crews with Frontier West will begin building crossovers on I-90 near the Cyr Interchange, about five miles west of Alberton, during the week of November 2, and drivers should expect single-lane closures while that happens. The crossovers will carry two-way traffic on the eastbound side when the westbound bridge over the Clark Fork is replaced starting in spring 2027\. The Exit 70 ramps stay open. As of Monday morning the 511 listing for that stretch, mile markers 66.1 to 66.4, still said no traffic restrictions at this time, so check 511 before heading west. This list covers what the city's Road Report and Montana 511 show. Event closures, utility work and county road work may not appear on either.
